Land Rover recently announced it is opening a new "Heritage Experience" driving center, where anyone with a few extra quid can get the chance to experience some of Solihull's historic fleet in real off-road conditions at their new, shared Jaguar Land Rover Heritage Experience test track facility in Fen End, Warwickshire.
Guests have the option of driving, or for the faint-of-heart, riding as a passenger in, a number of historically significant Land Rovers of varying vintages. The options include the obvious Series One 80-inch, a Series III 109 Station Wagon, a Military 101-inch Forward Control, and a 70's two-door Range Rover.
The test track consists of "deep ruts, steep slopes and muddy tracks." Just the kind of terrain that Land Rovers were, and continue to be, built for. Driving sessions are available in a number of different configurations, allowing participants to choose which vehicles they would like to try out.
Sessions range from £40 for 15 minutes as a passenger, to £250 for 3 hours of driving a selection of Solihull classics. Additionally, in case all that going slow isn't your cup of tea, you can choose to take some paved track time behind the wheel of an E-type Jaguar.
