Land Rover has made strides in their hybrid technology over the past few years (see the Range Rover E) and it appears that they will be incorporating a variety of hybrid power trains in future Range Rover iterations.
There’s no need for Land Rover enthusiasts to be concerned, as Land Rover has demonstrated that their hybrid engines will not compromise vehicle performance or power. In fact, incorporating hybrid technology will greatly improve vehicle emissions and fuel economy, two areas that have never been strong suits for the Land Rover brand. Jaguar Land Rover engineering chief, Wolfgang Ziebart recently confirmed the plans for enhanced hybrid utilization in future Range Rover models at the Geneva Motor Show, saying that consumers can expect to have more hybrid options in Rover’s “upper class” models.
