Prince Charles knows all about Solihull, but he didn’t know about the 88” sitting in Pringle’s Garage in Ballater, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
That’s where he discovered it: the Land Rover that belonged to his late grandfather, the former King George VI, who used it during stays at nearby Balmoral Castle on Royal Deeside.
Evidently, the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, as Prince Charles is known in Scotland, were touring local businesses when they came to Pringle’s Garage. "The Land Rover belonged to the late King and was bought by us in 1966” said Mr. Pringle. "The Prince was very interested in it. We are planning to do it up. It is a beautiful car and it still runs great.”
Guess you can’t keep a good Brit down.
