Land Rover has announced the winner of the 2012 “Go Beyond Bursary,” an annual grant funded by the Royal Geographical Society. This year’s winner is disabled adventure enthusiast Andy Cambell who will be traveling with two other teammates from the UK to the Black Sea.
The 2012 excursion entitled, “Pushing the Limits” will use the customary Land Rover Defender 110 and $40,000 to foster an appreciation for the world’s incredible geography, and show that exploration and adventure can be enjoyed by all humans, regardless of ability. Cambell will be using a variety off equipment to explore the environments encountered on his journey including an off-road wheelchair, handcycle and paraglider.
Pursuant to the Go Beyond Bursary criteria, Cambell and his team will be documenting their travels with digital and web based mediums, interacting with followers via social media channels. Follow the Pushing the Limits team yourself on their Facebook Page!
