We’ve grown so accustomed to unsightly Land Rover and Range Rover street-modifications, that we were sufficiently shocked to see a tuning company develop a vehicle with subtle refinements that do not instantly burn our retinas. The GTS-X Range Rover Sport from Overfinch represents one of these rare pleasant surprises.
Admittedly, the GTS-X Range Rover Sport may not appeal to the purist of off-road enthusiasts, but its 575 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque may make a believer out of a few. Overfinch gave the Range Rover Sport an ECU remap and an upgraded air induction, enough to provide a 65 hp boost and catapult the super SUV from 0-60mph in about 5 seconds flat. Performance upgrades also include a sport exhaust with driver-controlled valve release, Brembo brakes and branded calipers.
Of course the Overfinch does feature several aesthetic modifications including an aero body kit with rear spoiler, copper paint and 22-inch “Titan” alloy wheels, but the exterior is somewhat fitting of a 575 hp Range Rover, if you can get past the “Overfinch” hood badging. The interior is sleek, with bright copper stitching accenting the leather upholstery.
Is it for everyone? Nope. But when you consider some of the other tuning shop abominations that have carried the Land Rover badge, the GTS-X from Overfinch doesn’t seem that bad.
