The price sheet clearly shows a $1500 upcharge for the diesel engine. The SE model with the supercharged 3.0 Petrol V6 starts at $64,950 while the much-awaited v6 turbo diesel (also a 3.0) comes in at 66,450. With diesel prices in the US as high as they are, and the sometime challenge of finding diesel fuel on US roads, it may not be worth the premium. But those who have been waiting forever for a US-market diesel Land Rover will probably fork it out. Personally I would rather throw money at the two-speed transfer box and full-size spare included in the HD and towing packages.
