This is not to say that changes aren’t noticeable. The new flagship Rover has clearly taken some design cues from the Range Rover Evoque, most notably in the front and rear where edges have been smoothed to provide a more refined look. The Range Rover’s interior appears to maintain the highest standard of luxury, with wood veneer accents, leather, and an upgraded instrument panel and data screen. In addition, Land Rover claims that the rear seats of the new model feature an added 4.7 inches of leg room.
Land Rover has chosen to leave fans guessing on the rest of the vehicle specifications until the Range Rover makes its formal debut in September at the Paris Motor Show. As such, details on engine power output are not yet available, though sources have confirmed that the Range will be using a V-8 power plant matched to a new, 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
