The caterpillar-tracked Land Rover created by James A. Cuthbertson of the U.K was designed to help the Royal Air Force deal with bomb disposal. It slogged through mud, waded across sea dykes five-foot deep and was virtually unstoppable...even when it encountered a buried bomb!

Used chiefly in the early 60’s as mine clearing vehicles, they initially required ‘A’ Class drivers and were often repaired in the field with whatever was available (and a good deal of creativity!) because the official Motor Pool didn’t know what to do with them!
