Hitch a trailer loaded with skate ramps, skateboards, BMX helmets and pads and bring some fun activity to your local playground. That’s what they’re doing in Worcester…

New use for Land Rovers

Thanks to a 10,000 pound grant from the Big Lottery Fund, the Worcester Play Council is employing a Land Rover loaded with skate equipment, along with a team of four extreme sport enthusiasts, to bring sports to kids aged 5 to 16. The team is there to teach new skills, keep everyone safe, and encourage kids to get involved in a fun physical activity.

The Land Rover gives them room and mobility; the group plans to put on 42 events throughout the year.

Now that’s a darn good idea. Maybe someone who reads this will get one started here in the States…?
