The Land Rover LR4 comes to us as the next vehicle in the line of Discovery SUVs (The alphanumeric model names that the US market uses for certain Land Rover vehicles is starting to be phased out, and soon we will again be using the names that other countries do for their Land Rovers). It was a highly anticipated addition to the Land Rover collection, and once it was introduced it did not disappoint.

The LR4 is Land Rover’s performance and driver experience minded model that is looked at to be in the same class as luxury midsize SUVs like the Acura MDX, Lexus RX 450h and Volkswagen Touareg. But unlike the competition, the Land Rover LR4 has been acclaimed for its all-terrain capabilities. With a new suspension build, improved traction control and a bigger engine, drivers who enjoy both on-road and off-road driving will instantly feel the benefits once they get behind the wheel of the new Land Rover. Under the hood drivers will be find the LR4's 375-hp 5 liter direct injection V8 engine. This is a big jump from the LR3's 4.4 liter engine. The bigger engine does not mean that it is less efficient. In fact, the LR4 has improved fuel economy and is even ULEV2 compliant.
