Terrain Master Winch and Heavy-Duty Plain Bumpers
(Part # TR10/TR12/TR14)
Fitting of our precision winch and heavy-duty plain bumpers is normally very simple. The two front bolts on each side of the chassis extensions are used again and the new 12mm rear bolt added. A reinforcing spacer is provided for the M12 bolt and it fits between the ribs of the welded bracket on the outside of the chassis.
We have found a small number of cases where the grill design and mounting prevents the introduction of some Warn winch models by a few millimeters. We have made provision for this by having two sets of mounting holes in the main mount blades and a separate extension for the angle iron mounting. This gives the option to move the entire bumper forward by 25mm thus increasing the clearance.
For pre 1995 Discovery/Range Rover or our Heavy-Duty Plain Bumpers, use the front 3 holes in the mounting blade and discard the bolted on angle iron piece.
When fitting is complete, a short rubber section is included to cover up the exposed edge of the original bodywork, now showing because the bumper and skirt have been removed. This rubber is pressed over the wing edge and secured with a silicone-based adhesive (not supplied). This does not apply to Classic Range Rovers.
